Dear EAA Families:
We just completed our 2010 Manager’s Meeting on January 23, 2010, which means the season will soon be underway. In preparation for the upcoming baseball and softball season, those of us who are charged with the administration of the park will be very busy with a variety of duties. We will have board members involved in game scheduling, forming teams, planning and preparing park improvement projects, concessions, equipment, and marketing opportunities for the association, just to name a few.
If you are the type of person who enjoys getting involved and doing something that really makes a difference, we would love to talk with you about joining us on the Board of Directors. It is a very rewarding experience that allows you to directly impact the baseball/softball experience of your child. If this sounds like something you are interested in, I welcome you to contact me or any other of our board members to find out more about the program and what the park can do for you in return. Our meetings are the second Thursday of each month in the administration building and they are open to everyone in the association. Please use this as your invitation to drop by and see what it is all about.
I know you share with me a great personal pride in the Ellisville Athletic Association and that pride does not happen by accident. It happens only through the dedicated work of our volunteer board members and others who are committed to the success of the park. So, please consider joining our team in 2010, we would love to share with you all those things, that in my opinion, make Ellisville the premier place for youth sports in west St. Louis County.
Thank you for your continued support,
Chris Schmitz-EAA President
