Calling All Single A Division Parents

Currently we are looking for one more Single-A Manager.  The goal is to have 7-8 players per team. If we achieve that goal the players will receive better instruction, more "at bats", and a faster game.  Unfortunately, if we don't get 1 more manager, we will need to reassign those players to other teams, which will increase the team sizes and negate some of the advantages listed above. Please contact Brian Flanigan, (b.flanigan@comcast.net or 847-815-9849) if you are interested or have questions.

Brian will work with the new managers providing training, coaching plans, and run several Single A Manager clinics prior to the start of the season.  Brian has a great manager and coaching plan and will work hard to pair the managers up with solid assistants.  Also, any interested manager can find another person or friend to co-manage the team together.

In Memoriam...

CLLLB lost one of their own this week.  On Sunday, Darrin Frederick passed away suddenly.  His son, Blake, plays in our Intermediate Division.  Darrin was a valued member of the CLLLB family, and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Frederick family.

Board members will be available to answer any questions or discuss our exciting plans for the upcoming season. Home Stay Request For MCYSA

Our 11U Tournament Development Team will be one of the host teams for the MCYSA International Tournament this summer.  As a host team, part of our responsibility is to open our homes to the international players in the tournament.  We are in need of families willing to host players in this tournament.  Babe Ruth is coordinating this effort, and the note below provides more information:

Hello, everyone.  My name is Lisa Noonan and I am the Babe Ruth volunteer coordinator for the MCYSA international baseball tournament.  I am contacting you in the hopes that you would be interested in hosting a couple of international players during the tournament this year.  Most teams arrive on July 22 and leave August 3.  You would give the players a place to sleep, provide meals and laundry, transport them to and from their games and be their family while they are in town.

As a host team in the tournament, Babe Ruth is required to find 18 "beds".  We are in dire need of finding host families.  If we don't find enough host families, it may jeopardize Babe Ruth's ability to play in this year's tournament as well as in future tournaments.  I hope you will be able to help me secure our position as a host team.

If you are not able to host players, if you have any friends or relatives in the area that might be interested, please feel free to pass along my information.  If you or they have any questions, call me at 815-814-4646.
