Effective Immediately: (April 2011)

To all CYFL participants,

Due to the overwhelming demand for financial assistance, limited financial aid will be available during the 2012 season. Please ask family and friends for assistance before seeking aid from CYFL. In order to best serve all participants in our youth sports program, CYFL will refer all families seeking financial aid to the Voluntary Action Center for assistance. We understand many families may need some support during these difficult economic times. If you qualify for financial assistance the VAC may provide up to $50.00 for partial payment of registration fees. The remaining balance MUST be paid by the participant, parent or guardian. (Tackle fees = $125.00, Flag fees = $75.00, K-Ball fees = $55.00)

Your completed CYFL registration form along with your own payment plus the VAC Check will be collected together by the staff of VAC. Additionally, a 60 or 90 day payment plan is available upon request.

Funding is provided in part by the Youth Enrichment Fund of the Voluntary Action Center. Helping Hand Donations from League participants helps  provide funding for the Youth Enrichment Fund.

New Registration Policy effective April 2011:

  1. Please register online at www.columbiayouthfootball.com. You may also mail your registration fee payments.
  2. Only players who have paid their registration fees in full will be drafted and placed on teams.
  3. Players who register early may pick up equipment before the draft. Date to be announced.
  4. For early equipment pickup, all fees must received by July 15th.
  5. A $50.00 late fee may be charged for all late or walk-up registrations at the CYFL combine and draft.

New Equipment Policy effective April 2011: Each year many players fail to return their leased football equipment which unfortunately increases league expenses. In order to reduce equipment losses and to maintain our low registration fees, all parents or guardians of tackle players will now be required to:

  1. Present a paid receipt in order to receive football equipment. No exceptions.
  2. Submit a mandatory $50.00 equipment deposit due upon receipt of leased football equipment. A post-dated $50.00 check or money order, payable to CYFL post-dated to 12/1/2012 will be held on file and returned to you when the leased equipment is returned.
  3. Final equipment return is Saturday 12/1/2012.
  4. If you fail to return the leased equipment your deposit check will be forfeited and cashed on 12/15/2012 plus you will be billed for the full replacement cost of the football equipment. Player may also be prohibited from participating in future CYFL activities.

We apologize for any inconvenience these new policies may cause. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during the upcoming football registration.

Best regards,

Board of Directors
