#28 Riley Baker Jersey Honorees - 2016

Wildcat Football jersey #28 is worn by an honorary player each week. The young man chosen to wear the jersey for the week has exemplified a positive attitude, loyalty and heart to his teammates. The #28 jersey was worn by an alumni Eureka Football player and former Marine , Ln CPL Riley Baker.  Riley was a 2002 Graduate of Eureka High School. At 5'6" and 160 lbs, he played LB/RB and was awarded All Conference Honors his senior year. He was the ultimate team player and loved the team values and reward for hard work football has. Riley was also the first state champion wrestler at EHS.

On June 22, 2006 Riley was killed in action in Ramadi, Iraq saving the lives of the other marines on his scout sniper team. It is our hope Riley's story will inspire the players who wear and honor his number to play with the same heart and intensity as Riley did in all aspects of his life. "Semper Fidelis"
