EUREKA JUNIOR WILDCAT FOOTBALL

Eureka Junior Wildcat Football invites you to become part of the 2017 season.  Eligible players will be entering 3rd through 8th grades and plan to attend Eureka High School.  This is an opportunity for athletes to learn the fundamentals of Eureka High School Football.

The objective of the Eureka Junior Wildcat Football program is to prepare athletes for Eureka High School Football.  You MUST be within the boundaries of Eureka High School attendance and plan on attending Eureka High School.  No exceptions will be made.

Cost: $350 Feb 1st until June 1st plus the cost of personal equipment.  A multi-player discounts will be applied to families with more than one player in the program.  If a family has more than 1 player in the program, the program fee will be reduced for each additional player.  A $50 fee will be assessed for registration cancellation prior to the first week of practice.

A $200.00 equipment deposit is required to secure equipment at time of pickup. Equipment pick up will be TBD- times to be determined per grade. Parents and players are responsible for providing their own  pants (Black) and chinstraps.

The number of teams formed per age group will be determined after registrations are closed. We will form two teams if there are 50 registrants per grade, and teams with lower numbers may split at coach discretion. We will form enough teams to ensure that all players receive fair instruction and scrimmage time.  You will be notified of your inclusion on the final roster via email.  We will include a schedule of equipment pickup and upcoming practices/meetings.

When your child is placed on the roster, this does not guarantee a certain amount of playing time during games.  Our coaches will attempt to give each child an opportunity during practices and games; however, there is no set number of plays that your child will participate.  Performance in practice is the determining factor for playing time in games.  Practices will be three days per week prior to the start of school and two days per week thereafter, with games typically held on weekends.   Missing practice will diminish chances for playing time.  If you are going to miss a significant amount of practice due to vacation or other activities, please reconsider signing up for football.

Eureka Junior Wildcat Football is a no-cut program that welcomes athletes of varying experience and talent levels who are eager to learn the sport of football.  However, for the safety of everyone involved, our coaches have the responsibility to determine if any child is not physically or mentally prepared to fully participate in the contact sport of football.  In these situations, the Head Coach and the Board President will provide this feedback to the parents.  At that time, you will be given the option of a 100% refund (less the $50 cancellation fee).  Alternatively, they could remain on the team with the understanding of receiving only a limited amount of playing time that the coaches feel can be safely handled.

Because EJWF is a 100% volunteer organization, we need your help to ensure that the league runs smoothly and efficiently.

Eureka Junior Wildcat Football Inc. is a not for profit, volunteer organization that is organized to promote an ongoing youth program in Eureka, Missouri and to inspire in it's participants the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness, regardless of race, color, gender or creed.  Our program could not exist without the great support we receive from the Eureka High School administration and football coaching staff.  However, this is neither a Rockwood School District nor Eureka Sports Association sponsored activity.
