Indoor Training at Jewish Community Center (Baxter Rd. and Wildhorse Creek Rd.)
Mon., Feb. 6 (6-8pm) - New baseball umpires and level B, C, & D
Wed., Feb. 8 (6-8pm) - New baseball umpires and level B, C, & D
Mon., Feb. 13 (6-8pm) - New baseball umpires and level B, C, & D
Wed., Feb. 15 (6-8pm) - New baseball umpires and level B, C, & D
Mon., Feb. 20 (6-8pm) - New softball umpires and level B, C, & D
Wed. Feb. 22 (6-8pm) - All umpires

We expect the baseball umpires with 5 yrs. or less experience to attend 3 sessions.
We expect the softball umpires with 5 yrs. or less experience to attend 1 softball session
*If you are a baseball umpire willing to umpire softball games too, you should attend one of the softball sessions

Outdoor Training at Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex (Miracle Field)
Sat., March 3 (9-11:30am) - All umpires
Sat., March 10 (1-3:30pm) - All umpires
Sat., March 17 (9-11:30am) - All umpires
Sat., March 24 (1-3:30pm) - All umpires

We expect the baseball umpires with 5 yrs. or less experience to attend 2 sessions
We expect the softball umpires with 5 yrs. or less experience to attend 1 softball session
*If you are a baseball umpire willing to umpire softball games too, you should attend one of the softball sessions
**Knowing that many of you may have spring break during March, please attend whatever dates work best with your schedule. Softball umpires can attend a baseball umpire training. Just let the Training Directors know you are there so they can let you know softball and baseball differences

Scheduling

Send Umpire Availability Sheet to Jeremy Maranan. Confirm all dates on the schedules posted below. Once assigned, you must be present for games or have a replacement and notified the UIC of the change. Contact Jeremy Maranan if you are unable to make a game at the last minute. Do not call Greg Willman.

Registration

We are currently hiring new and experienced umpires for the Spring 2012 Season which begins March 27. New Umpires should contact us in Jan. 2012 for the spring season and inquire about training dates. Applicants must be 14 years of age. Instructions to submit your application:

1. Complete the Umpire Registration Form and send to Julie Peterson (new umpires only)

2. List your availability for league games on the Umpire Availability Sheet and send to Jeremy Maranan.

3. List your availability for tournaments (select umps only) Umpire Availability Tournaments and send to Jeremy Maranan

4. Check the umpire schedule to confirm your game assignments - you will not receive confirmation by email or phone

5. Download a copy of the umpire manual 2011 and be prepared for your first day of work

6. Read the CBSA Rulebooks for baseball and softball before you begin umpiring

7. Contact the Director of Umpires if you have questions or require further information.
