Football Fans,

We'd like to thank you for making our 40th Anniversary another recording setting year with 737 players on 38 teams. The 2010 season isn't even finished yet an we're already preparing for the upcoming 2011 Season which will surely be another record breaking year. Since we are an all volunteer organization we need your help with the continued success of the Columbia Youth Football League.

First, we will elect new Board members and Officers to the Board of Directors. These positions include the President, Vice-President and two Board members. Chad Henry, our current President is stepping down to Coach again.

Secondly, we will appoint chairpersons for several vital committees, including but not limited to:
    1) Fundraising & Pep Rally
    2) Sponsors
    3) Team Parents
    4) Registration
    5) Coaches and Rules Committees
    6) Community Relations
    7) Equipment
    8) Policies, Procedures and Compliance

Third, we are looking for volunteers to serve as football commissioners for each age group:
    1) Flag
    2) Beginning Tackle (3rd & 4th grades)
    3) Junior Tackle (5th & 6th grades)
    4) Senior Tackle (7th & 8th grades)

Note: The Board of Directors and all committee members are volunteer, unpaid positions. Brief job descriptions will be posted on the website during the next few days.

Our Board Meetings are held the 1st Monday of each month at the Armory. Duties vary greatly for each committee or Board member position. If you have a special skill set that you think will benefit the League or would just like to be involved, please contact one of Board members for more information. The only job requirement is a selfless dedication to make a difference in the life of a child and a commitment to the values of youth sports.

Please join our team to make CYFL the premier youth sports league in Mid-Missouri. Football is the ultimate team sport and we need you! Surely you have something to give to make football the most memorable time in a kids life.

The next schedule Board meetings are Monday November 1st and December 6th. Elections will be held Monday January 10th. Please visit the website www.columbiayouthfootball.com to download a Board or Committee Chairperson application and to review the minimal requirements. All applications are due Monday December 13, 2010, no exceptions.

Many thanks for the selfless commitment and dedication that Chad Henry & Sharla Hyler, outgoing President and Vice-President, have given to the CYFL during the past few years.
