Move Through Ball

Your last two steps are not 1-2 Field. Remember, the last two steps are the most important. Approaching a routine ground ball off your glove-hand shoulder, your throwing-hand foot goes straight ahead, as your back starts to go down toward your thigh. Your glove-hand foot goes to the side, twice the width of your shoulders, aligned heel to toe with the glove foot forward. When your glove-hand foot hits the ground, your back should be flat and your glove should be on the ground.
