BOYS BASEBALL 8U-14U
Season Runs April through July
The youth divisions are open to boys 8U through 14U, younger ages are considered training league and operate under their own set of unique rules and guidelines.
Ellisville offers the following levels of competition and is a member of the St. Louis County Athletic Association.
National- The highest level of competition available. Teams in this division are normally considered select because they control all aspects of their rosters and will often play over 40 games a year.
American- This is a mid-level of competition. Teams in this division are normally considered semi-select because they control most aspects of their rosters and will generally play between 20-30 games a year.
Continental- This is the recreational level of competition. Teams in this division tend to be designed more for skill development and will often complete their rosters from association draft pools.
Within each of the above classifications there are generally three sub-levels;
Blue-Highest level
Red- Mid level
White-Lowest level
Our association schedules each team to play 12 league games. 6 home games, which will be played at Ellisville and 6 away games, which will be played at the other County Parks (Ballwin, Manchester, Pond, Eureka, Pacific and Valley Park).
It is important for teams to rank themselves before the season begins and evaluate their talent from year to year so Coordinators/Commissioners can rank you in a division that will allow the best competition.
Note: Teams can change their ranking from year to year as individual teams progress and evolve from season to season.
