New 2012 Bat Rule Minimize

New 2012 Bat Rule: Section 10.09 The official baseball bat shall be round in cross section for the entire length of the bat, straight in length from end to end, and smooth surfaced in the hitting area. The maximum diameter is two and three quarters inches (2 3/4") and the maximum length is thirty-six inches (36"). Any material to improve the grip may be used for a distance not to exceed eighteen inches (18") from the handle end. The bat shall be constructed of wood, aluminum, or any other material or combination of materials. All non-wooden bats for ages 14U and under are required to be rated "BPF 1.15".  It is the responsibility of the team to provide documentation from the manufacturer to verify that an unlabeled bat meets the BPF 1.15 requirement. In addition all bats for ages 15U and above must conform to the National Federation of High School Associations’ bat limitations. The NFHSA regulations are the sole discretion of that body and are subject to change at anytime without notice from SLCAA.

ESA is a member of the St. Louis County Athletic Association (SLCAA www.stlcaa.teammania.net ). The SLCAA baseball and softball season runs April through July. 

Eureka Athletic Association does not require a family fee. A league registration of $100 will be charged for each player. A multi-player discount of $10 for each additional player will be applied upon checkout


Boys Baseball
Boys baseball is open to boys 8U-14U and is governed by the rules of the St. Louis County Athletic Association. Leagues for boys 5U – 7U (Training League) and 4U (T-ball) are also available and operate under ESA’s own set of rules and Guidelines. Please see the tables at the bottom of this page to determine which age level your child falls under. Boys may play at levels above their age group but may not play below their age group.

Girls Softball
Girls Softball is open to girls 8U, 9U, 10U, 12U (combined 11U and 12U) and 14U (combined 13U and 14U) and is governed by the rules of the St. Louis County Athletic Association. Leagues for girls 5U – 7U (Training League) and 4U (T-ball) are also available and operate under ESA’s own set of rules and Guidelines. Please see the tables at the bottom of this page to determine which age level your child falls under. Girls may play at levels above their age group but may not play below their age group.

First time Parents/Players:

Please check the age group table below to verify with which age group you should register your child. Additional information about the league, season, etc., can be found on this page and by using the links provided.

All player registrations must be performed online. To register you must first create an account (and enter your child's/chlidern's information) by using the login link located at the top right portion of the home page. Be sure to enter all requested information. Fees can be paid with credit card, checking card, or Pay Pal. You will be required to sign up for one 4 hour work assignment or pruchase a buyout for $100.

Returning Parents:

To register your child, you only need to sign in and purchase a "player registration". If you do not know your coach's name, please select the request to be placed on a team. Please verify your child's age level on the document below.
