Scholarships

A limited amount of scholarships are available to all Florida Revolution players (recreational or competitive) and their families for financial assistance with the fees charged by Florida Revolution. For competitive players, the scholarship award can only be applied to Florida Revolution registration fees. No team fees, uniforms, travel fees, etc. will be covered.  For recreational players, scholarships will be applied toward the cost of registration fees.
We will award full or partial scholarships, at the descretion of the scholarship committee.  Scholarships awarded are a one (1) time event and there is no guarantee that you will be considered for one in the future.  Players and their families my apply for a scholarship every year.

To apply for a scholarship:

*  Download the Scholarship Application.

*  Read all instructions and fully complete the application. 

*  Attach additional information:  Copies of last two income tax returns, team budget (if applicable), fundraising plans and other sponsorship opportunities.  NOTE:  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

*  Recreational Players:  Bring the completed application to one of the in-person registration dates.  Scholarship applications are due at the time of registration and will not be accepted after the last date for the fall registraion.

* Select Players:   The completed application should either be mailed to:  SHSL, Attn: Scholarship Committee, PO Box 2580, Riverview Fl 33568 or drop off at the Florida Revolution office at 11942 Big Bend Road, Riverview Fl 33579, and deposit into the mail box located in the hall way.  All select player scholarship applications for the 2010-2011 Season are due by Wednesday, June 30, 2010.  You are still required to make your  initial deposit and if your application is accepted, it will be returned. 

Once received, the Florida Revolution Scholarship Committee will review your application and determine if a scholarship will be awarded.  You will receive a reply from the committee regardless of the outcome of their decision.  You will be required to volunteer more time at Florida Revolution depending on the amount of scholarship awarded.

All information provided and/or discussed will be kept confidential.

The information provided for consideration, either verbal or written, must be true, complete and factual to the very best of one's ability and knowledge. Inaccurate information will result in disqualification for one (1) calendar year.
