Did you know you can raise money for St. Catherine while doing your everyday shopping? All you have to do is purchase a gift card from any of your favorite retailers and use them in place of cash, checks, or credit cards for normal daily or weekly purchases. Each card purchased carries an associated “contribution” of 2-15% or more!

You can make a contribution to St. Catherine while enjoying a night out of the kitchen? Gift cards are available from the nation’s most popular casual dining spots through our program. Buy them from us for purchases you were going to make anyway. Pay face value, and help us with this fund-raising effort.
- Drive Thru or Fast Food - Burger King, Chipotle, Fazoli's, Starbucks, Subway, Steak and Shake, and more!
Do you kick start your day with an early cup of coffee? Kick off your fundraising for St. Catherine at the same time! Whether it be breakfast or a late night snack, using gift cards for your favorite fast food drive thru will help fund raise for our parish. Make sure to stock up and keep them in your glove compartment.

Skyrocketing gas prices are on everyone's mind! But did you know you can still make a contribution to our organization, even as you are spending more at the pump? Buy gift cards from the nation's leading gasoline suppliers and use them when you fill up at the pump and help St. Catherine.

Raising money for St. Catherine is as easy as keeping your kitchen pantry stocked. Use gift cards for the purchases you were already going to make and donate to our parish at the same time! Feed your family and help St. Catherine at the same time.

Going on a road trip is the perfect time to use prepaid gift cards for all your needs of gasoline, groceries, eating out and hotel accommodations. Even on vacation, you do not have to stop raising money for St. Catherine’s. Don't forget to stock up on all the gift cards you need before heading out the door.

Did you know that you can help SCL by shopping? We call it “SCRIP”.
St. Catherine has an inventory gift cards from hundreds of area merchants including grocery stores, home centers, gas stations and many restaurants that you can purchase dollar for dollar. The parish purchases the cards at discounted prices and when you buy them, a percentage of the sale is given to the parish. (If it is not in our inventory, you can order it for delivery w/in the week)
For example, if you purchase a $100 gift card for Dierberg’s to buy your weekly groceries, the parish makes $5. Over a year, you would donate $260.00. It’s like giving free money to the parish.
The cards are available for purchase by cash or check made payable: SCL SCRIP
•After all weekend Masses
•Monday-Friday in the Parish Business Office: 9 am-4:30pm.
•During normal school hours, buy them from the school office.
•Or, you may notice several women carrying pouches on the parking lot at dismissal. These volunteers sell the cards directly to you at your car!
It seems simple but getting in the habit of ordering cards is the hard part. We can’t do it alone. We challenge you to start small by purchasing the amount for your weekly grocery shopping. Give it a try. It’s easy and everybody wins!

What Is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization.
How scrip generates revenue for you
The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non profit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. Our organization buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value. The discount from two to fifteen percent or more – is our organization’s revenue.
Scrip is "shopping cart fundraising”
Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don’t have to sell anything. Organization members produce revenue by making regular household purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip.
