Meeting Minutes Sept 7, 2008
Sr. Rita open the meeting with a Vincentia Meditation. Helen discussed dues. Bernie and Lynn will work with Helen to come up with a budget.
Criminal Justice Ministry: 40 backpacks have been collected. Ann will coordinate with PSR to make “Welcome Back” cards. Linda will have the prices per backpack available next meeting.
Barb organized the Lets’ Start dinner.
Lynn discussed the Stewardship drive. When we find out that someone is interested in LOC we will contact them in a timely manner.
Nancy Hempe volunteered to be the cookie coordinator. This means that Nancy will be in touch with the office to get a list of people that would like to receive Christmas Cookies. She will also have labels available the night of the Christmas party to put on each plate of cookies with a name and address.
Ann passed out a flyer for the IRWP Trivia Night
Linda Lowery will host the Christmas party at her house this year. The party will be held on Dec. 11 at 6PM.
Lynn will add to her agenda to remind us who is responsible for the monthly casserole committee.
Minutes of Aug, 2008
St. Rita started the meeting with a prayer and reflection on humility. Helen gave a summary of our treasury. Our balance is $2,312.00. Reminder to pay $10.00 dues. We discussed the Criminal Justice Ministry Back Pack Drive. We have collection about 15 backpacks. Where do we store them? Item we need to collect to go in the backpacks are:
• Packets of tissue,
• Deodorant,
• Shampoo,
• Comb,
• Razor,
• Non-aerosol shaving cream,
• Soap,
• Lotion,
• Toothbrush,
• Toothpaste,
• 3 pairs of new socks and underwear.
• 3 containers of non-perishable snacks,
• Wallet,
• Pen & notebook,
• Welcome Back card.
Hospitality Sunday sign-up sheets were passed around. Mary lee gave a recount of the SOS-Serving Our Sisters outreach event Juneq14. They needed food; there was not enough. Blood drive was successful, 69 pints of blood was collected. Festival of Ministry will be held this fall in our parish. Ladies of Charity needs to prepare for this. We need to revise our mission statement, etc. How to draw on our talents to help those less fortunate. Jane was given a phone number to continue babysitting at Angel Arms. She will let everyone know the date. Lynn has volunteered to help plan and bring out the Thursday night meal for the Men’s Acts Retreat. Data is Sept 18. Place is LaSalle. Who can help out here?

Meeting Minutes April, 2008
Lynn opened the meeting at 10:20. We began with a meditation provided by Sr. Rita.
Mary Lou read the minutes – Ann is giving over the chairing of the Spring Fling party. Jane approved the minutes and Lois seconded the minutes.
Mary Lee will get the schedule out for the casserole committee. Next collection is April 16th
Helen read the financial report. We talked about the spring fling; we think about 30 kids attended. Ann suggests that next year we have a chair from LOC and a chair from Louisettes to plan the spring fling.
Lynn met w/ Fr Jim about the food pantry – parish is committee to diving the food in half. Today is the last day we will bring the bags over from church. We will not stock the pantry. Lynn will be here after the noon Mass – she needs a couple of volunteers. Mary Lou approved the motion to give this back to the parish – Lois seconded. We all voted and elected the current officers.
Installation Mass; Mary Lee will find a restaurant for us to attend after Mass. Lynn will work with Fr. Jim to organize the Mass.
Mary Lee will set up a schedule for delivery. Mary Lee will write an article for the Serviette about the casserole committee.
Let’s Start Program – this Tuesday – Meet here at SCL at 5:40 on Tuesday.
May Crowning – May 12th – invite other members – send a note out prior to the 12th to see what dish we will be bringing to the pot luck dinner. Meet here at 5:00. Lynn will be communicating this event.

Ann talked to us briefly about the prison ministry. The backpacks and cleaning supplies. Pick a month and run a drive. Team up with the Louisettes. Ann will coordinate this with Gay Applebaum.
Next we need a calendar -
The PR committee will take the responsibility for getting the meeting notices in the bulletin
We agreed to continue meeting over the summer months.
We will begin making and serving the dinner for all Ladies ACTS retreats.
Communication committee to be a part of the stewardship committee. Lynn and Helen be a part of a new membership drive. The stewardship Sunday will be sometime in Sept.
Ann, Lois and Linda have formed a calendar committee.
New bs – help the lady jane talked about – do the thurs night dinner for act – sept work with the vets
Mary Lee’s name was chosen and she chose to give $100 to Let’s Start.
