To our wonderful and devoted parents,
Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of the SCL Youth Ministry program or wondered what you can do to support your teen during their junior high and high school years with the program? Here are a few things we would suggest...
- Pray constantly for your teen and all teens. Pray that they may always find God in new ways and continue to grow in their faith while discerning God's unique call for their lives.
- Encourage your teen to attend youth ministry events and retreats as a way to encounter God and build a strong faith community with their peers.
- Attend Mass with your teens regularly...we suggest Noon Mass at SCL ;-)
- Talk to your teen about their faith...even if you may not know all the answers yourself (because we surely don't know them all, either!)
- Volunteer to chaperone events with the Youth Ministry as a way to support your teen and others in their pursuit of Christ.
In the near future, we hope to have many more opportunities for you to play a more active role in our ministry through volunteering and chaperoning future events...so STAY TUNED!!!
We sincerely thank you parents for all that you do for your teens and for your support of the youth ministry program. We recognize that you as parents are the primary educators of your children as you bring them up in the Catholic faith, and we are here to support you in that journey.
