Your Security Settings & Software
Most people do not have problems registering online and find the process quick and easy. Occasionally some members who are using security software and have particular settings on their security software activated may encounter the following problems while trying to register or using their member account.

Generally these symptoms indicate that your computer will not let you "go to" our secure server. When you click Register or Login, the software switches you to one of our secure servers at another web site address. Some security software programs prevent the software from “redirecting” you to a different address other than the address for the site where you originally navigated.

Usually clearing Recent History and Cookies for everysport.net will correct the issue. If you are experiencing Login or Connectivity issues please try using a different internet browser. There have been a few reports of issues when using Google Chrome.

Another option for this kind of problem is to type the secure web site address into your browser directly:

https://everysport.net/yoursportsleagueorclub/Home.aspx

Where the web site address is RED, substitute your league or clubs web site address. This will take you directly to the secure registration area for your club. If you are not sure what your club's web site address is, return to their web site and note the web site address in the address bar at the top of your screen. When you have a minute, you might check your security settings to see if adding the https://www.everysport.net address to a "trusted or secure sites" area of your software would eliminate the issue for you.
Your network administrator may not allow you to access our registration site through that network. Give online registration a try at home and chances are it will work just fine!
You may be behind a proxy server on the computers at your office. Many businesses block access to web sites through their networks. If this is the case, you might contact your network administrator and find out if you're allowed to access secure servers from your location. If not, you should try registering from another computer on another network or Internet connection.
Generally this means that a setting on your computer has changed. Typically when you get a security update from your security software provider (usually these come automatically), settings can change that you are not aware of. When those settings change, you may "all of a sudden" begin to have problems with functions that worked before. Usually clearing Recent History and Cookies for everysport.net will correct the issue. You may also try using another browser.

Internet Explorer:

  • Using the drop-down, set "Keep until" to "they expire"
  • Click OK to save your settings
Safari:
  • Go to Edit > Preferences > Security
  • Select the option "Always" for "Accept Cookies."
Chrome:
  • Click the Chrome Settings option in the top right corner of your window
  • Go to Settings in the menu
  • At the bottom of this page click Advanced Settings
  • Click the Content Settings button under Privacy
  • Choose "Allow local data to be set" and click Done
If you answered YES, then you will need to consult the instructions for your firewall or Norton Utilities and unblock Port 443 allowing access to our secure server.
Your browser will allow you to turn off access to SSL or secure servers. You will need to consult your browser HELP guide for information about turning that setting on. For most people using Internet Explorer, you should be able to turn on SSL by selecting Tools > Internet Options from the menu in your browser. After the new window appears, click on the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the area that has the heading "SECURITY". Once there, make sure the SSL2.0 and SSL3.0 have the box checkmarked. Checkmark the box by clicking on it. Click OK to save your settings.
Sending and receiving information across the Internet is a complex process. Every computer is different from the next, not unlike a thumbprint. Your computer, even though it's the same brand as your neighbor's, is different because you may have different software, modems, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Additionally, information travels through many different computers over the Internet, so sometimes there are conflicts. Please be patient and follow the steps to troubleshoot any problems.
